Atlas of True Names
The atlas of the true names by Stephan Hormes and Silke Peust is a work that prepares a translation and cartographic representation of important toponyms (geographical names) into German .
For translation into German
The "true" - in the sense of the etymologically correct - meanings of a generally known and common name are named and entered on a card . It illustrates the imagery of the place names and the " Babylonian - polyglot " of the takeover from other languages. The FAZ called the idea of the work "funny and instructive". Die Zeit, however, criticized the fact that in case of doubt the authors would have chosen the most amazing name.
