Atzin is a song by the German hip-hop musicians Frauenarzt and Manny Marc . The two musicians appeared in the marketing of the song as well as on the cover of the single under the band name "Die Atzen". Similar to the previous singles, the song combines electro house with rap elements. Atzin first appeared on the sampler Atzen Musik Vol. 2 , which was released on February 26, 2010. On April 2, 2010, the single was released on the Hamburg label Kontor Records .

history

Atzin was recorded by the Berlin based Frauenarzt and Manny Marc for their common sampler Atzen Musik Vol. 2 . Oliver Sauerland, David Bwoooi and Johannes Herbold were involved in the production of the piece. In mid-March 2010 it was announced with a teaser that the song Atzin would become the successor single to Disco Pogo . The video for the piece followed at the end of March. The single was finally released in early April 2010.

Gynecologist and Manny Marc had the opportunity to present their title on various television programs. The two musicians performed at The Dome 53 in the Velodrom and together with Sady K in the ZDF TV garden . On May 21, 2010 Die Atzen opened the presentation of the Comet Music Prize in the König-Pilsener-Arena with a medley of the pieces Atzin , Disco Pogo and Das geht ab! .

In addition to the single release, Atzin also appeared on other samplers, including Bravo Hits 69 , The Dome Vol. 54 and Comet 2010 . Atzin's “Topmodelz Edit” was also published on Future Trance Vol. 52 .

In terms of content, Atzin revolves around parties with women. "Atzin" represents the feminine form of the term "Atze", a Berlin expression for friend. The lyrical I emphasizes "his Atzin" positively ("My Atzin is amazing, horny pig almost like in a sex film") and addresses her lyrically directly ("You are different from the others. You are just awesome") . In the refrain lines, which are repeated twice each time, the lecturer's wish is expressed to spend the night with the woman:

Atzin rose to number 18 on April 19, 2010 in the German single charts. In the following week, the publication fell to number 27 and reached position 16 in the third week, the highest ranking so far. Atzin is thus behind the success of the previous singles Das geht's! and disco pogo back. In total, the song was represented in Germany's single charts for 15 weeks.

In Austria, Atzin placed 26th in the first week. The highest position was reached in the third week with 20th place. Atzin was represented in the Austrian charts for 15 weeks.
