Tanga Tanga 3 is a compilation album produced by gynecologist and DJ Reckless . It was released on December 20, 2013 and is the third part of the Tanga Tanga series. The first parts were solo albums by Frauenarzt.
background
After the great success of Die Atzen , Frauenarzt tried to return to its early roots. In December 2012 the album RAP was released together with DJ Korx . In 2013, DJ Reckless and gynecologist decided to reissue the old Tanga Tanga series. Tanga Tanga 3 is intended to introduce the solo albums by DJ Reckless and Frauenarzt announced for 2014. Musically they tried to reanimate the old Bass Crew and Bassboxxx sound, which was essentially influenced by the Miami Bass of the 2 Live Crew . The two of them produced all the songs together, mostly on old equipment, a Roland TR-808 , an E-mu SP-12 and various vocoders . An MPC Renaissance was used on new equipment .
In addition to raps by Frauenarzt and DJ Reckless, long-time companions of Frauenarzt and DJ Reckless, such as MC Bogy , Manny Marc , MC Basstard , Aci Krank , Smoky , Taktloss and King Orgasmus One, participated in the album, sometimes under pseudonyms. Originally announced for December 6, 2013, the date was postponed to December 20. On December 30th a video for Bass Gang with MC Bogy, gynecologist, DJ Reckless, Manny Marc and MC Basstard was released.

Music genre
Musically, the gynecologist and DJ Reckless are consciously based on their beginnings. They use a classic sound that was especially popular in the early days of hip hop in Miami , Florida. The pioneers were the sexually suggestive and highly controversial 2 Live Crew. The genre takes its musical influences from the electro funk of the 1970s and uses an electronic, very bass-heavy sound. In terms of lyrics, the album primarily deals with two themes: sexual personalities, particularly related to female poses and breasts, and the bass style.
Reviews
Oliver Marquardt awarded four out of six possible crowns in Juice number 156 (January / February 2014) and described Tanga Tanga 3 as a “very entertaining album”. The lyrical and musical restrictions still do not allow "monotony or boredom" to arise, which is mainly due to the "bass-heavy beats" and "Arzts lyrical audacity".
