Aude Aguilaniu (born April 10, 1988 in Bonneville ) is a French skier. She was initially an alpine ski racer . In 2011 she switched to ski cross and has competed for Belgium ever since .
biography
Aguilaniu competed in her first FIS races in November 2003. In January 2004 she started in the European Cup . In this racing series, her best result was a sixth place in November 2008. At the Junior World Championships 2007 in Altenmarkt , she reached fifth place in the giant slalom. In the same year she became French Super-G champion. Between January and December 2008, Aguilaniu was used in a total of five World Cup races , but was never able to place in the points. At the end of the 2008/2009 season she lost her squad membership in the French ski association, but the following winter she started regularly in the European Cup. She has been studying at Westminster College in Salt Lake City since 2010 . She started in the FIS and university races in winter 2010/2011 and won the gold medal in the super combined at the 2011 Winter Universiade in Erzurum .
Before the 2011/12 season, Aguilaniu switched to ski cross and has since started for Belgium. She made her debut in the Freestyle World Cup on January 11, 2012 in L'Alpe d'Huez , where she finished 25th and also won her first World Cup points. The best result in their inaugural season was an 11th place. On December 19, 2012, she made it into the top ten for the first time, finishing 9th in Val Thorens . But only four days later she fell at the World Cup race in Innichen and suffered a knee injury, which ended the season prematurely for her.
