Audilio Aguilar Aguilar (born August 4, 1963 in the Canazas Administrative District, Veraguas Province, Panama ) is a Roman Catholic clergyman and Bishop of Santiago de Veraguas in Panama.

Life

Aguilar studied Philosophy at the Major Seminary in Guayaquil ( Ecuador ) and Catholic Theology at the San José Seminary ( Costa Rica ). On 4. August 1990 he was appointed priest ordained . He then studied canon law in Rome at the Pontifical Lateran University . In addition, he was, among other things, parish vicar and spiritual at the Small Seminary of the Diocese, pastor in Canazas, spiritual guide of the movements Cursillo and Comunione e Liberazione , instructor in the Major Seminary “San José” and Assistant Secretary of the Bishops' Conference in Panama, Chancellor of the Diocese and parish priest in Sona (Diocese of Santiago de Veraguas). Since 2003 he has been pastor of the parish of San Miguel Arcangel and judge at the ecclesiastical court in Panama.

Pope Benedict XVI appointed him on June 18, 2005 Bishop of Colón-Kuna Yala . He was ordained bishop by the Apostolic Nuncio in Panama, Giambattista Diquattro , on August 6 of the same year. Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of Panama , José Dimas Cedeño Delgado , and the former Bishop of Colón-Kuna Yala, Carlos María Ariz Bolea CMF .

On April 30, 2013, Pope Francis appointed Aguilar Bishop of Santiago de Veraguas. The inauguration followed on June 30 of the same year.
