Oscar Mario Brown Jiménez

Oscar Mario Brown Jiménez (born August 6, 1937 in Panama City ) is a Panamanian clergyman and former bishop of Santiago de Veraguas .

Life

Oscar Mario Brown Jiménez was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Panama on January 20, 1974 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him auxiliary bishop in Panama and titular bishop of Scilium on December 30, 1985 . The Archbishop of Panama , Marcos Gregorio McGrath CSC , donated him episcopal ordination on February 22nd of the next year ; Co- consecrators were Carlos Ambrosio Lewis Tullock SVD , Auxiliary Bishop in Panama, and José María Carrizo Villarreal , Bishop of Chitré .

He was appointed Bishop of Santiago de Veraguas on December 17, 1994, and was introduced to the office on February 11 of the next year. Pope Francis accepted his age-related resignation on April 30, 2013.
