José Dimas Cedeño Delgado (born July 23, 1933 in Peña Blanca ) is retired Archbishop of Panama .

Life

The Archbishop of Panama, Francisco Beckmann CMF , ordained him a priest on June 25, 1961 .

Pope Paul VI appointed him on February 15, 1975 Bishop of Santiago de Veraguas . He was ordained bishop by the Apostolic Nuncio in Panama , Edoardo Rovida , on May 17th of the same year; Co- consecrators were Carlos Ambrosio Lewis Tullock SVD , Auxiliary Bishop in Panama, and Daniel Enrique Núñez Núñez , Bishop of David .

Pope John Paul II appointed him Archbishop of Panama on April 18, 1994. On February 18, 2010, Pope Benedict XVI. his resignation request submitted for reasons of age.
