Carlos María Ariz Bolea

Carlos María Ariz Bolea CMF (born December 6, 1928 in Marcilla ; † August 29, 2015 ) was a Roman Catholic religious and bishop of Colón-Kuna Yala .

Life

Carlos María Ariz Bolea joined the order of the Claretians and was ordained a priest on June 28, 1953 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him Vicar Apostolic of Darién and Titular Bishop of Nigrae Maiores on July 22, 1981. The Apostolic Nuncio in Panama , Blasco Francisco Collaço , donated him episcopal ordination on November 21 of the same year ; Co-consecrators were Jesús Serrano Pastor CMF, Apostolic Vicar Emeritus of Darién, and Marcos Zuluaga Arteche , Auxiliary Bishop Emeritus in Darién.

On December 15, 1988 he was appointed the first bishop of the diocese of Colón , established on the same date .

On June 18, 2005, Pope Benedict XVI. his age-related resignation.
