Jesús Serrano Pastor

Jesús Serrano Pastor CMF (born May 25, 1902 in Corella , Navarra , † July 14, 1997 ) was a Spanish clergyman and apostolic vicar of Darién .

Life

Jesús Serrano Pastor joined the order of the Claretians and was ordained a priest on May 29, 1926 .

Pope Pius XII appointed him on April 7, 1956 Vicar Apostolic of Darién and Titular Bishop of Hypselis. The Apostolic Nuncio in Panama , Paul Bernier , donated him episcopal ordination on August 22 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Francisco Beckmann CM , Archbishop of Panama , and Rubén Odio Herrera , Archbishop of San José de Costa Rica .

He participated in all four sessions of the Second Vatican Council as a council father.

On July 22, 1981, Pope John Paul II accepted his age-related resignation.
