The Apostolic Vicariate Darién ( Latin Vicariatus Apostolicus Darienensis , Spanish Vicariato Apostólico de Darién ) is a Roman Catholic Apostolic Vicariate based in Metetí in Panama . It includes the province of Darién and the indigenous territories Emberá-Wounaan and Kuna de Wargandí .
Pope Pius XI formed on November 29, 1925 the Apostolic Vicariate Darién from territory of the Archdiocese of Panama . On December 15, 1988, it ceded parts of its territory to the newly established diocese of Colón .
