The diocese of Penonomé ( Latin Dioecesis Poenonomensis , Spanish Diócesis de Penonomé ) is a Roman Catholic diocese based in Penonomé in Panama .

With the Bull Quo aptius on December 18, 1993, Pope John Paul II founded the Diocese of Penonomé from the cession of territory to the Archdiocese of Panama and subordinated it to this as a suffragan diocese . It includes the province of Coclé . Uriah Ashley was the first bishop of Penonomé from December 18, 1993 to June 25, 2015. His successor is Edgardo Cedeño Muñoz SVD .
