The Aue 84 property is a listed residential and commercial building in the Elberfeld-Mitte residential area of Wuppertal in the Elberfeld district .
Building description
The facade of the four-storey house facing the Aue street has four axes and is symmetrical. The central axes are designed as a risalit , between which the entrance to the restaurant on the ground floor is located. To the right of it is the house entrance door.
The building with its elaborately designed facade can be seen as a typical example of the row development of the Wilhelminian era.
The two-storey listed residential and commercial building Aue 86 adjoins the western wall . A new building from the second half of the 20th century adjoins the eastern side.
history
The house was built in solid construction between 1886 and 1895. On February 3, 1993, it was entered as an architectural monument in the list of monuments of the city of Wuppertal and is of great urban development importance, since together with the adjacent historical buildings it shows the historic course of the road in Elberfeld, which was created by the expansion of federal road 7 , which today runs parallel to the Aue runs, was destroyed. The building is privately owned.
