The Auer Bach rises at 321 meters above sea level. NN on the flank of the Lichtscheid ridge (350 meters above sea level) in the Lichtenplatz residential area . It flows through a pronounced Kerbtal towards the north, receives a tributary from the Brassiepen, passes under the sports fields on Oberbergische Straße and flows above ground to the residential development in the valley of the Wuppertal.
