Resurrection Chapel (Roßbach)
The Evangelical Lutheran Resurrection Chapel is the chapel of Roßbach, a district of Zeitlofs in the Lower Franconian district of Bad Kissingen . The parish is part of the parish Zeitlofs in the deanery Lohr am Main . The chapel is one of the architectural monuments of Zeitlofs and is registered under the number D-6-72-166-18 in the Bavarian list of monuments .
history
In Roßbach, a branch of the parish of Zeitlofs, which has been independent since 1453 , the Reformation was introduced in 1553 . The chapel, which also served as a burial chapel for the Barons von Thüngen , was built in the neo-Gothic style in 1888 .
Description and equipment
The chapel is a simple building with a roof turret on the west and three-eighths - choir in the east. The windows of the chapel are ogival . A simple altar table stands in front of the colored choir window . To the left of this is the baptismal font , to the right the pulpit on a column . Two paintings hang on the walls of the choir, a copy of the Last Supper by Leonardo da Vinci and a representation of Christ crucified . The gallery , whose balustrade is gray like the pulpit, is located on the western wall. The organ stands on it .
