The hall church , partly of Romanesque origin, was restored after a fire in 1689/1690. It has a retracted, rectangular choir tower that is covered with a gable roof. The apse in the east was demolished, the walled apse arch has been preserved.
In 1851 the church was repaired. In 1960 a new altar and a new sandstone baptismal font were purchased. In 1962/1963 the church was extensively restored and the painting was reconstructed according to findings.
The church furnishings of the 17th century are modest. In the nave , which is covered with a wooden beam ceiling with carvings on the underside, there are only galleries in the north and in the west, the gallery in the east has been removed. The triumphal arch was renewed. The pulpit is on its south side . Above this hangs the figure of the Risen Christ in a halo from 1670. Above the altar there is a late medieval crucifix , which is smaller than life . The organ was built by the Poppe brothers in 1858.
