August Wilhelm von Hofmann memorial coin
The August Wilhelm von Hofmann memorial coin is a prize of the Society of German Chemists for Experimental Chemistry , which is associated with a gold coin and is named after August Wilhelm von Hofmann . It was founded in 1902 as the Hofmann Prize by the German Chemical Society and taken over in 1951 by the Society of German Chemists, whereby according to the statutes, foreign scientists should be honored as well as German scientists who are not chemists, but who have made particular contributions to chemistry to have.
