August Belli (born December 26, 1855 in Altena , † May 27, 1941 in Weilburg ) was a German lawyer and district administrator in the Tecklenburg district .

Life

August Belli was born in 1855 as the son of a pharmacist and later a winery owner and, after attending the Arnoldinum high school in Burgsteinfurt, studied law at the universities in Strasbourg , Marburg and Berlin . In 1874 he became a member of the Germania Marburg fraternity . From 1875 to 1876 he was a one-year volunteer with the Guard Fusilier Regiment Berlin and was second lieutenant in the Guard Fusilier Landwehr Regiment. 1877 was Belli court clerk to the courts of appeal in Kassel and Münster , 1882 Regierungsassessor with the Government in Münster, 1883 Acting Administrator of the district Tecklenburg. Here he was appointed district administrator in 1884 and later a secret councilor before retiring in 1921.
