August Carl

August Carl (born October 4, 1800 in Bergen; † December 9, 1831 in Kassel ) was a German lawyer and politician .

Life

Born the son of a court and body lathe operator, Carl studied law in Marburg . During his studies in 1819 he became a member of the old Marburg fraternity Germania . After completing his studies, he became a higher court attorney in Hanau and, in 1823, secretary of the Medical Association of the Province of Hanau . In 1831 he became a member of the Kurhessische estates assembly as a representative of the rulership of the count of Ysenburg-Wächtersbach. He died that same year following a session of the state parliament.
