August Falschlunger (born September 27, 1882 in Freiburg im Breisgau , † May 19, 1925 in Freiburg im Breisgau) was a German football player .

Career

Falschlunger belonged to Freiburger FC on, for which he in the South German association football clubs performed championships from season 1906/07 in the district Upper Rhine , from season 1908/09 in power dense and not in districts divided Südkreis and its last season, 1919 / 20 , played point games in the Baden district league .

During his club membership he won six regional championships, including the South German. Because of this success, he and his team took part in the final round of the German Championship. After VfB Leipzig and Freiburg FC received byes in the first round, both met on May 12, 1907 in Nuremberg in the semifinals , from which Freiburg FC emerged 3-2 as the winner. The final, which was held a week later in Mannheim against BTuFC Viktoria 89 , was won 3-1.

Although his team was only able to defend the championship in the Gau Oberrhein in the 1907/08 season - the southern district championship was finished in third place - he again took part in the final round of the German championship with Freiburg FC as defending champions. Although he and his team defeated FC Stuttgarter Cickers in the quarter-finals 1-0; however, the game had to be repeated due to a complaint from the Swabians about the referee. The Stuttgart team then clearly won the replay in Karlsruhe with 5: 2; he scored in this game the goal to 0: 1 in the 24th minute.
