August Ferdinand Richter

August Ferdinand Richter (born January 25, 1822 in Nieder-Klobikau near Merseburg , † October 12, 1903 in Mariendorf ) was a German theologian and member of the Prussian House of Representatives (1862–1879).

Live and act

Richter was born the son of an economist and after attending grammar school in Merseburg studied Protestant theology in Halle and Berlin . In Halle he joined the old Halle fraternity and in 1861 also became an honorary member of the Germania Halle fraternity .

After completing his studies, he worked as a pastor in Mariendorf from 1849 . From 1862 to 1879 he was a member of the Prussian House of Representatives: 1862–1866 for the constituency of Teltow / Beeskow / Storkow / Brandenburg , 1866–1867 for the city of Berlin (constituency Berlin 1) and 1867–1879 for Sangerhausen / Eckartsberga (constituency Sachsen-Merseburg 6). He belonged to the Grabow faction , then the Left Center faction and from 1866 he was a member of the National Liberal Party , in which he was involved in the board from 1867.

August Ferdinand Richter was buried in the Alt-Mariendorf II cemetery.

Honors

According to him, which was Richterstraße in Berlin-Marie village named. The Richter pond named after him is also on this street .
