Augusto Enrique Morelli Pando (born February 13, 1916 in Lima ; † August 15, 2012 in Lima ) was a Peruvian ambassador .

Life

Augusto Enrique Morelli Pando married Rosa Ferrand López Aliaga their children were María del Rosario Morelli Grau, María Teresa Morelli Grau and Javier Augusto Morelli Grau. In 1944 he entered the foreign service and was appointed third-class legation secretary in Rio de Janeiro . From 1947 to 1948 he was second class legation secretary and chargé d'affaires in Quito . In 1952 he was appointed Secretary of the First Class Embassy in Mexico City . In 1953 he was first-class delegation secretary in La Paz . In 1960 he was ambassador to Mexico City . In 1961 he was ambassador to Paris . In 1963 he was Ministre plénipotentiaire in Jeddah . In 1965 he was Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Beirut . In 1969 he was Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Lisbon . From 1972 to March 1973 he was ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to the French and Greek governments and permanent representative of the Peruvian government to UNESCO . He was removed from office on July 23, 1973 in protest against the Pierre Messmer government's nuclear test on Mururoa .

From 1979 until his retirement on February 13, 1981 he was ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to Bonn .
