Aurelian Ionuț Chițu (born March 25, 1991 in Țăndărei ) is a Romanian football player . He has been under contract with Daejeon Citizen in the South Korean K League 2 since March 2018 .

Career

Chițu moved in 2009 to the newly founded third division club FC Viitorul Constanța . In the 2009/10 season he was able to score 19 goals and rose with his club to League II . There he was able to maintain his regular place in the storm. After two years he succeeded with his team in the 2011/12 season promotion to the Liga 1 . After relegation in 2013 , the French first division club FC Valenciennes Chițu committed. There he was unable to prevail and only made seven appearances in the first half of the 2013/14 season . At the beginning of 2014 he was loaned to PAS Ioannina in Greece for a few months . After Valenciennes' relegation, he returned to Romania in the summer of 2014 and joined Astra Giurgiu . At Astra it was only used irregularly. He left the club in October 2015 and returned to FC Viitorul Constanța. He won the 2017 championship with Viitorul .

In March 2018 he moved to Daejeon Citizen in the South Korean K League 2 .

National team

Chițu was called up in February 2013 by national coach Victor Pițurcă for a friendly against Australia . On February 6, he came on in the 89th minute for Gabriel Torje . In the friendly against Trinidad and Tobago on June 4, 2013, he was on the starting line-up and played for one half.
