David Glover works in Berlin as a courier driver for his uncle's Berlin Express company . David is in love with his work colleague Jenny, but has so far not had the heart to confess his feelings to her. When Jenny receives a scholarship to study abroad in Barcelona , the two of them meet for a farewell dinner that evening.
During his last courier trip, a woman named Lara jumps into David's car, who claims to be a police officer at the BKA . Shortly thereafter, both were shot at and followed by several cars. Lara claims to be hunting the professional killer Lorca on behalf of the BKA. They manage to escape and both end up in a hotel room, where Lara seduces David and he spends the night with her. In the meantime, Jenny waits in vain for David. The next morning Lara has disappeared and it turns out that she is not a police officer, but the wanted professional killer Lorca herself. David was only used for their own purposes, but BKA investigator Hillmann now thinks David is Lorca and the police are hunting him. Jenny helps David to escape from the police, Jenny is taken hostage by Lara and David blackmailed into taking on the final task of the professional killer himself, namely killing the last survivor of three witnesses in the trial against an arms dealer. He is supposed to shoot the witness during a trial. David arrives camouflaged into the courthouse, where the witness turns out to be a little girl. With the help of his uncle, David manages to track down Lara's hiding place and free Jenny. When Lara escapes with a motorboat, David takes up the chase and succeeds in catching Lara. Lara aka Lorca is arrested by the police and David and Jenny eventually become a couple.
