Auslikon (around: at the courtyards of Ansilo ) refers to the area on the Pfäffikersee in the Zurich Oberland . The Aussenwacht Auslikon belongs politically to the municipality of Pfäffikon ZH .
history
It was owned by the Counts of Rapperswil until 1300 , from whom it passed to the Lords of Landenberg as part of the Greifensee bailiwick . Auslikon was first mentioned among them around 1310. The bailiwick was sold to the Counts of Toggenburg in 1369 and to Zurich in 1402, who ruled until the overthrow in 1798.
In 1811 Auslikon got its own school house. Since 1928, the other civil parishes of Auslikon, Oberalm and Unterbalm have been part of the political municipality of Pfäffikon ZH . The village was the place of activity of the important landscape painter Arnold Brunner (* 1909, † 1972), who mainly depicted the Zurich Oberland in numerous works. The government council placed the reed landscape on the Pfäffikersee under nature protection .
