Axel Herrig

Axel Herrig (born June 1, 1963 in Trier ) is a German musical performer , opera singer ( baritone ) and actor .

Life

Herrig grew up in Speicher (Eifel) . As a child he started playing the drums. In his youth he played in school bands and as a dance musician. After graduating from high school, Herrig studied singing at the Cologne University of Music, Aachen department with Elisabeth Bock-Ksoll. He completed his studies with distinction in the subjects opera, lied and concert singing. He also had lessons from Vera Ilieva (Sofia), Brian Kemp (London) and Michael Rhodes (New York). Herrig gives concerts with the band "Eigthies4Ever".

Axel Herrig became known through the leading role of Falco in the musical Falco meets Amadeus (2000–2003).
