Aya Sameshima ( Japanese 鮫 島 彩 , Sameshima Aya ; born June 16, 1987 in Utsunomiya , Tochigi Prefecture ) is a Japanese soccer player .
Career
societies
Sameshima played in the years 2006 to 2011 for the club Tepco Mareeze , the factory club of the energy supply company Tepco . Parallel to this, she worked up to the Fukushima nuclear disaster in Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant , after the disaster, Tepco Mareeze withdrew from gambling activities. Sameshima trained with the Boston Breakers from March 2011 , where she signed a contract in June 2011. In September 2011, she moved to the French first division HSC Montpellier , where her compatriot Rumi Utsugi already played. In the 2014 season, she was under contract with the US franchise Houston Dash , but was not used due to an injury.
National team
Sameshima took part in the U-19 Asian Cup in Malaysia in 2006 . In her first international match on May 31, 2008 as part of the Asian Cup , she immediately scored her first goal. Sameshima played all six games at the 2011 World Cup in Germany.
She was also part of the squad for the Olympic football tournament in London and was used there in five out of six tournament games, including a. in the final, lost 1: 2 against the USA .
She was also nominated for the 2015 World Cup . In the first group game against Switzerland it was not yet taken into account. Then she was used in the remaining six games and always played the full 90 minutes. As in 2011, the final was again reached against the USA, but this time lost 2: 5.
She made four appearances at the 2018 Asian Women's Soccer Cup and defended the title with her team with a 1-0 final win. The Japanese had already qualified for the 2019 World Cup by reaching the semi-finals .
