Ayhan Tumani (born October 2, 1971 in Antakya , Turkey) is a former German-Turkish soccer player and today's soccer coach . After graduating from high school and starting his studies (sports and mathematics for teaching), he started his playing career and later his coaching career in professional football.
career
As a player
In his youth Tumani was active at FCE Augustdorf and FC Stukenbrock . He became known in Germany primarily through his time as a professional footballer with Arminia Bielefeld and Hannover 96 . With Arminia Bielefeld, he managed double promotion between 1994 and 1996 and thus a direct march through from the regional league to the Bundesliga . There he was one of the audience favorites of the Arminen fans.
In the Netherlands Tumani played for FC Volendam and NEC Nijmegen in the Ehrendivision, the highest Dutch division. In the last years of his playing career, he acquired the DFB C / B and A coaching licenses and successfully completed a sports management degree.
As a trainer
From 2005 to 2008 he worked in various functions at Wuppertaler SV Borussia , most recently in the 2007/08 season as head coach of Wuppertaler SV II and at the same time as assistant coach of the first team.
In the 2008/09 season, Tumani completed his first eleven-month football teacher training course at the DFB- Hennes-Weisweiler Academy in Cologne and has since held the UEFA Pro License (UEFA football teacher license), the highest coaching license in football. As part of this training, he sat in at 1. FC Köln under head coach Christoph Daum . After his training at the DFB Tumani Daum followed the record champions Fenerbahçe Istanbul in the Süper Lig (Turkey).
On May 26, 2012 Tumani was presented as the new assistant coach of Peter Hyballa at the Austrian Bundesliga club SK Sturm Graz . He signed a contract that ran until 2014. From September 2012 to March 2013 he was Managing Director Sport at SK Sturm Graz.
In September 2017, SC Paderborn 07 hired Tumani as the sports director of the junior performance center. In the meantime, he also threw the A-youth coach (U19). His contract as sporting director has no time limit.
