Ayuka Kamoda started for the first time in early March 2017 as part of two FIS competitions in Sapporo on an international level, before making her debut in the FIS Cup in Villach on July 1 and 2, 2017 , where she finished 14th and 19th; since then, further FIS Cup starts have followed. One month later, on August 18 and 19, 2017, she made her debut in the Continental Cup in Oberwiesenthal , where she finished eighth and 21st and thus also directly achieved her first Continental Cup points.
On January 12, 2018, Kamoda succeeded in qualifying for a World Cup competition at her first start in Sapporo. One day later she made her debut in the ski jumping World Cup and reached 36th place, which means she missed the final. At the beginning of February 2018, Kamoda took 28th place in the individual competition at the 2018 Nordic Junior World Ski Championships in Kandersteg , Switzerland, and sixth in the team competition together with Shihori Ōi , Ren Mikase and Nozomi Maruyama . On September 9, 2018, she finally started in Tchaikovsky for the first time in the Summer Grand Prix 2018 and took 27th place here.
