Börnchen is a district in the Katterbach district in Bergisch Gladbach .
history
Börnchen is in the corner of Altenberger-Dom-Straße and Kempener Straße. The naming was based on the name of the tub of the same name in the original cadastre . In the dialect one said "Büngen" . Both names refer to a flowing spring well or Born (see the names of the waters on -born ). The first development of the Gewann took place between 1830 and 1890. The name Börnchen was mentioned as early as 1893 as a place to live.
