Bühl is a district of the municipality of Klettgau im Klettgau in the district of Waldshut .

history

Bühl was mentioned in a document at the beginning of the 14th century in the cartular of the Rheinau monastery . The parish church belonged to the Tengen deanery in 1275 . In 1355 Kathrin von Krenkingen , wife of Rudolf von Tengen, sold her bailiff over the place to Johann von Brümsi and his brother H. von Brümsi von Schaffhausen. From these it came in 1514 via the von Fulach to Count Rudolf V. von Sulz . Later it became part of the Schwarzenberg rule and then of the Grand Duchy of Baden .

The Notburgafest takes place in Bühl every year. The pilgrimage to the Notburga von Bühl goes back to the Middle Ages. She is considered the patroness of the Klettgau. During the Baden Revolution, the last Freischart troops under General Franz Sigel and Joseph Weißhaar withdrew to Bühl . Bühl is also known among equestrians .

On January 1, 1975, Bühl was incorporated into the municipality of Klettgau.
