The Bürglhütte is a private refuge at 1699  m above sea level. A. in the Kitzbühel Alps above Stuhlfelden im Pinzgau ( Austrian state Salzburg ).

The former self-catering hut is now partially managed (approx. 20 beds and 25 mattresses ). It is located on the southern roof of the Geißstein ( 2363  m above sea level ), 5 km north of Mittersill and 7 km east of the Thurn Pass .

The shelter is located at the end of the Stuhlfeldener Mühltal , a northern side valley of the Salzach valley . The ascent to the hut takes 2–3 hours from Stuhlfelden, and in summer it is also possible to get to the hut by bike or car. The approach from Hinterglemm is a little longer.

The hut is an important base for the Pinzgau Walk , a popular high-altitude trail and the Zentralalpenweg 02A , an Austrian long-distance hiking trail ( Hainburg an der Donau - Feldkirch ). The ascent from here to the Geißstein ( 2363  m above sea level ) takes about 2 hours.
