Alfred Bollinger

Alfred Bollinger (born October 4, 1896 in Wilchingen , † April 4, 1992 in Herisau , reformed , resident in Beringen ) was a Swiss journalist and politician ( FDP ).

Life

Alfred Bollinger was born on October 4, 1896 as the son of the teacher Heinrich Bollinger in Wilchingen. Upon completion of schools in Dübendorf and the secondary school in Schiers Alfred Bollinger studied at the Universities of Lausanne and Zurich , where he 1922 Dr. rer. pole. PhD.

From 1922 to 1967, Bollinger worked as the domestic editor of the Appenzeller Zeitung , whose line he helped shape as a free-spirited party newspaper with a critical attitude towards totalitarian systems . In 1946 he also co-founded the Herisau Historical Society .

Bollinger, a long-time board member of the FDP cantonal party, was a member of the Ausserrhoder Cantonal Council from 1934 to 1939 .

Alfred Bollinger, who was married to Mathilde Nelly, born Müller, died on April 4, 1992 at the age of 95 in Herisau.
