Babette von Kienlin (born May 9, 1962 in Hamburg , née Einstmann ) is a German - British television presenter .
Life
As the daughter of a British interior designer and a German doctor, Einstmann grew up bilingual. After graduating from high school in 1980, a French diploma and training as a theater clerk at the Ernst-Deutsch-Theater in Hamburg, she studied journalism from 1985 to 1989 at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich . During this time she became a presenter at the private broadcaster Tele 5 and has been working mainly for ZDF since 1987 . Among other things, she hosted The Knoff-Hoff-Show , the ZDF Sunday concert , the Star Parade , ML Mona Lisa and the year by the German president tendered German Future Prize . She completed her traineeship at the ZDF studio in London .
In addition to her work for ZDF, Einstmann worked as a guest lecturer at the University of Television and Film Munich .
Since the first broadcast in 1998, she has been presenting the Drehscheibe for ZDF and temporarily representing Hallo Deutschland .
Since 2002 she has also been involved in the Bärenherz Foundation , a foundation for seriously ill children at a children's hospice in Wiesbaden . She is also an ambassador from people for people .

Von Kienlin has been married since 2014. She is the mother of a daughter.
