The stream on the knee meadow rises at an altitude of about 307  m above sea level. NHN in the Odenwald on the edge of a small wood southwest of Reichelsheim - Klein-Gumpen .

It initially flows in a south-easterly direction through a wet meadow landscape , then turns more to the north-west and runs along the northern slope of the Klingenberg .
