Bagueye (also Bagaye , Baguey ) is a village in the rural municipality of Kalfou in Niger .

The village in the north of the Ader Doutchi plateau is about four kilometers east of Kalfou, the capital of the rural community of the same name, which belongs to the Tahoua department in the Tahoua region. Other larger villages in the vicinity of Bagueye are Tamaské , the capital of the municipality of the same name, about eight kilometers to the east , and Sakolé, about 14 kilometers to the east . Bagueye has grown together from three villages, each with their own traditional chiefs ( chefs traditionnels ): Bagueye Garba, Bagueye Tchédia and Bagueye Toudoun Gabo (also: Bagueye Toundou Gabass).

At the 2012 census, Bagueye had 7,640 inhabitants who lived in 1,153 households. At the 2001 census, the population was 3,905 in 415 households, and at the 1988 census, the population was 3,580 in 549 households.

The majority of the village population belongs to the Hausa ethnic group .

There is a weekly market and three schools with mostly brick-built classrooms in town. The Spanish state development aid agency Agencia Española de Cooperación Internacional para el Desarrollo (AECID) financed various agricultural equipment in Bagueye in 2013, with the aim of improving irrigation and consequently increased food security.
