Bahjoi is a city in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh .

Bahjoi is located in the North Indian Plain, 140 km east of the federal capital New Delhi . It is located 15 km southwest of Chandausi . The city is the administrative seat of the Sambhal district, which was newly founded in 2011/2012 . Previously, Bahjoi was part of the Moradabad District . The city is located on the national highway NH 93 ( Aligarh- Moradabad). Other main roads lead to Sambhal and Badaun .

As a city, Bahjoi has the status of Nagar Palika Parishad . The city is divided into 25 wards . At the 2011 census, Bahjoi had 37,037 residents. 71.92% of the population are followers of Hinduism , 27.41% are Muslims .
