The station overseas is a through station in the Upper Bavarian community overseas . The station is located at 38.3 km of the Rosenheim – Salzburg line . It has three platform tracks and belongs to category 5 of DB Station & Service .

history

The Royal Bavarian State Railways opened the Übersee station on May 7, 1860 together with the Rosenheim – Traunstein railway line, which was extended to Salzburg on August 1, 1860. The station had its own railway maintenance office , which was given up in 1949. The branch line from Übersee to Marquartstein was inaugurated on August 10, 1885, the station became a separation station .

Around 1900 the Auerbräu GmbH was connected to the factory . This siding was subsequently extended several times to other companies. On November 9, 1962, the siding was shut down. For the flow of goods was overseas from before the Second World War one to 1961 small locomotive of the class 323 home. The branch line to Marquartstein lost passenger traffic on May 25, 1968. Until January 1, 1981, the station was an office of the Deutsche Bundesbahn , the remaining tasks were then taken over by the Rosenheim station . On April 1, 1992, the Übersee – Marquartstein line was shut down. The community of Übersee bought the reception building in early 2010 and has been renting it out ever since.

Infrastructure

Signal boxes

After the station went into operation, point attendants set the points on site. The Übersee station was centralized on November 20, 1890, and a mechanical signal box was set up in 1934 . In 1980 the station received a SpDrS60 track plan signal box. This was controlled by the dispatcher overseas until the end of 1986 , after which the Traunstein dispatcher took over.

Track systems and platforms

In 1877 there were three tracks, two of which were on a platform. Furthermore, there was a stump track for goods traffic , on which the loading road, the loading ramp and a goods shed were located. Opposite the station building, a water house was built on the other side of the track. In 1940 there were five tracks, four of which were on platforms. There were also several stump tracks, on which were among other things the small locomotive shed , the goods shed and the loading ramp. After the line to Marquartstein was closed, track 1 can no longer be used. Track 5 was also later taken out of service.

The station is due to low platforms and lack of elevators is not wheelchair accessible . Track 2 is used for trains in the direction of Salzburg , and track 3 for trains in the direction of Munich . Track 4 is no longer served as planned. Both platforms are 402 meters long.

On weekdays in 1914, three pairs of passenger trains on the Rosenheim – Salzburg line served the station. The express trains passed through the station without stopping. Six trains were offered to Marquartstein every day. In 1934, the station was served by six pairs of passenger trains on the Rosenheim – Salzburg route Monday through Friday, and two additional trains ran in the summer months. An express train that drove from Munich to Berchtesgaden also stopped . In the summer months there was another express train, none of the others stopped overseas. Seven trains went to Marquartstein on weekdays. In 1988 the station was served every hour by local, express and express trains on the Rosenheim – Salzburg line. The general cargo loading at the station was stopped on May 27, 1988.

The station is on the route book route 951 and is served every hour by local trains of the Meridian , which run from Munich to Salzburg. In addition, a long-distance train, the Intercity Königssee, stops at the station every day .
