construction

The plans for the train station built in 1845/46 presumably come from the Darmstadt court building director Georg Moller . Originally the station was built as a two-storey building with a roof turret. Years later it was increased by one and a half floors. Two smaller buildings were also added. The main building, made of yellow sandstone , has three floors. The floors are divided by red sandstone. The windows are made of red sandstone. To the north of the building is the enclosed garden of the former station master.
