The railway line Człuchów-Słosinko ( Schlochau – Reinfeld ) is a no longer operated railway line in the Polish Pomeranian Voivodeship .

Geographical location

The railway line Człuchów - Słosinko ran in the south-east of the Pomeranian Voivodeship in a south-north direction and connected the district town of Człuchów ( Schlochau ) with the north-eastern district of Człuchów and the south-western district of Bytów ( Bütow ) (before 1945 the district of Rummelsburg i. Pom. ). In Słosinko (Reinfeld) the trains drove a few kilometers further on today's Polish state railway line 405 to the former district town of Miastko ( Rummelsburg [Pomerania] ).

History

The Prussian Eastern Railway reached the city of Schlochau in 1877 with the section Schlochau– Konitz (Chojnice) of the later Reichsbahn line Ruhnow – Konitz . A year later, the Tempelburg (Czaplinek) - Neustettin (Szczecinek) –Schlochau railway was opened. In 1878, the Neustettin – Rummelsburg (Pomerania) - Stolp - Stolpmünde line , the main section of today's line 405 from Piła ( Schneidemühl ) to Ustka ( Stolpmünde ), was completed.

There was no direct connection between the towns of Schlochau and Rummelsburg (Pomerania); the detour via Neustettin was unreasonably long. In 1902, for example, the railway line from Schlochau via Prechlau (Przechlewo) to Reinfeld was built with direct travel on the Neustettin – Stolp line to Rummelsburg (Pomerania).

A train ran in each direction on this route four times a day. The importance of this railway line increased when the region bordered the Polish Corridor between 1920 and 1939 .

After 1945, rail traffic on the Człuchów – Słosinko line was resumed. The PKP route 413 crossed the area of today's four rural communities: Człuchów ( Schlochau ), Przechlewo ( Prechlau ), Koczała ( Flötenstein ) and Miastko ( Rummelsburg ) within the two districts of Człuchów and Bytów ( Bütow ).

In 1991 the entire line was closed to passenger traffic, and on December 15, 1992, the section from Przechlewo to Słosinko was also closed to freight traffic. After 2000, the remaining line was shut down and has been dismantled since 2006.
