history

The section from Ohat-Pusztakócs to Polgár was opened on August 5, 1891. On October 26, 1896, the remaining section from Polgár to Nyíregyháza was put into operation. Passenger traffic on the section between Ohat-Pusztakócs and Tiszalök was shut down on December 13, 2009.
