Folyás is a municipality in the Polgár small area , which is in Hajdú-Bihar County in eastern Hungary . The population is just under 350 (as of 2011), the area 53.92 km².
geography
The municipality is located on the Nyugati Canal (Western Main Canal ). It is 6.5 kilometers from the city of Polgár and about 60 kilometers from the Debrecen county seat . Folyás borders on Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County and the following municipalities:

Infrastructure
Through the municipality for the M3 ( E79 ) motorway . Folyás is on the Ohat-Pusztakócs-Nyíregyháza railway line, but passenger traffic for this section has been suspended.
There is a post office, library, kindergarten, two grocery stores and two inns on site. The Roman Catholic Church of Szent László király templom is located in the center of the village .
The area is strongly characterized by various bodies of water, such as the Tinó-lapasi-halastó lake , the Nyugati Főcsatorna canal and the Selypes ér (Selypes Brook). Due to the rich fish stocks in the waters, fish farming began in the 1950s , which provides opportunities for the families living there to secure their livelihood.
