The Schlawe – Stolpmünde railway is a former railway line between the cities of Schlawe ( Sławno ) and Stolpmünde (Ustka), which are located in what is now the Polish Pomeranian Voivodeship .

The 36-kilometer route ran from southwest to northeast and connected the district town of Schlawe with the Baltic resort of Stolpmünde . It crossed the two districts of Schlawe and Stolp .

history

The railway line from Schlawe to Stolpmünde was opened on August 18, 1911 as the last new railway line in the Schlawe district . It shortened the travel time of the route from Stettin to Stolpmünde, which would otherwise have to be made via Stolp .

When the railway line between Schlawe and Stolpmünde was planned - now also to open up the northern district of Schlawe - the city of Rügenwalde (now in Polish: Darłowo) raised violent objections. They saw themselves at a disadvantage from the planned construction of the new railway, because the deficits of the circular path from Schlawe to Pollnow (Polanów) already burdened the city sack in 1901 with 52,000 marks. The district council then rejected the project with 17 votes to 15. But some landowners who were very interested in this railway line enforced the state-owned railway construction. It now opened up the north of the Rügenwalder office and the adjacent goods. After the First World War , an additional stop was created in Marsow (Marszewo).

The entire railway line was dismantled in 1945. There was no restoration.
