The Baierbach is a mere kilometer long right tributary of Odenbaches in the Rhineland-Palatinate district of Kaiserslautern in the area of the municipality Otterbach Otter Mountain belong to local community Schallodenbach .
course
The Baierbach rises in the natural area of the Lichtenberg ridges of the North Palatinate Uplands a good half a kilometer north of Schallodenbach at an altitude of 362 m above sea level. NHN in an agricultural zone at the southern foot of the Elkenknopfes ( 426.8 m ) and at the southwestern foot of the Galgen hill ( 444 m ).
The stream initially flows almost 300 meters south-southeast through fields and then changes its course to the south in the corridor of the same name. There on his left is a nature reserve lying fallow wet meadow with a silting pond .
It now runs almost 200 meters through intensively used grassland, disappears north of the Schallodenbacher sports field on the northeast slope of the Schloßhübels ( 331 m ) and to the west of a steep rock face overgrown with bushes pipes into the ground, then about 200 meters further southeast of a multi-purpose hall again at the Surface to step. The Baierbach then flows, accompanied by the rock road lined with houses , about 150 meters southeast through a green area heavily overgrown with bushes and trees. It now crosses under the district road 31 and then passes the north-west corner of the village southwards.
It then moves a good 150 meters south-south-west through a green strip at a distance of only 10 meters along the western edge of the village center and finally joins the one coming from the east at an altitude of 301 m west of Schallodenbach not far from the corner of Johannisstraße / Kleine Gasse Odenbach .
