Baldwin of Schele

Baldwin Georg Eduard Friedrich Wilhelm Arthur von Schele-Schelenburg (born September 11, 1836 in Schelenburg , † December 4, 1903 there ) was the owner of the manor and member of the German Reichstag .

origin

His parents were the district administrator Ludwig Ernst Unico Georg von Schele (* June 4, 1796 - December 1, 1870) and his second wife Philippine von dem Bussche-Hünefeld-Streithorst (* January 25, 1810 - December 28, 1842). His half-brother Arnold (1849–1922) was also a member of the German Reichstag.

Life

Schele attended grammar school in Lingen (Abitur in 1857) and then joined the Royal Hanoverian Army , of which he was an officer until 1866. He was also landscape councilor of the Osnabrück knighthood and owned the Schelenburg manor near Schledehausen .

From 1881 to 1893 and from 1898 until his death he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of the Province of Hanover 4 ( Osnabrück , Bersenbrück , Iburg ) and the German-Hanover party as a guest at the center .

Schele married Countess Helene von Kielmannsegg on June 12, 1872 in Hanover (* October 25, 1853, † March 3, 1875).
