Banana is Demet Akalın's third studio album . It is named after the song of the same name and was released on December 12, 2004 under the music label Seyhan Müzik. The album was sold around 40,000 times within the first 19 days.

The album has a running time of about an hour and contains a total of fourteen songs, eight of which were released as single versions. The individual songs are about love, feelings and relationships. For the song Vuracak (tr. For: "met") two versions were recorded. The director of the album is Suat Aydoğan.

Akalın worked again with Ersay Üner and Arzu Aslan in the production of the album as well as in the creation and writing of the lyrics. Serdar Ortaç wrote the lyrics for Bittim ; the singer Yıldız Tilbe produced and wrote the lyrics for the songs Bana Döneceksin , Vuracak and Vuracak (New Version) .
