Banganga ( Nepali वाणगंगा ) is a city ( municipality ) in Kapilbastu District ( Nepal ).
The city was created in 2014 by amalgamating the Village Development Committees (VCDs) Banganga , Gajehada , Hathausa , Kopawa , Malwar , Motipur and Patna . Banganga is located 18 km northeast of the district capital Kapilavastu on the river of the same name in the middle Terai . The Mahendra Rajmarg highway runs through Banganga. The urban area covers 233.6 km².

At the 2011 census, the VDCs that made up the city of Banganga had 75,242 residents (34,933 of them male) in 15,965 households.
