Buddhabatika ( Nepali बुद्धवाटिका ) is a city ( municipality ) in the middle Terai in Kapilbastu district ( Nepal ).
The city was created in 2014 by amalgamating the Village Development Committees Dubiya , Jayanagar and Mahendrakot .
In the east the city borders on Banganga , in the south on the district capital Kapilavastu .
The Mahendra Rajmarg highway runs through Buddhabatika.
The urban area covers 169.3 km².
Residents
At the 2011 census, the VDCs, from which the city of Buddhabatika emerged, had 20,158 inhabitants (9439 of them male) in 4,177 households.
