Barbara Gruber

Barbara Gruber (born December 15, 1977 in Bad Reichenhall ) is a German ski mountaineer and alpine athlete. She is a member of the German national ski mountaineering team and is multiple German champion in ski mountaineering and in the vertical race .

Athletic career

Gruber, who comes from a farming family, has three siblings and completed her training as a farmer and state-certified housekeeper. After the birth of her son, she started doing sports to compensate, first with mountain biking , a sport in which she also successfully competes and in 2007, among other things, first places in the "Glocknerkönig light" race, in the "Hochsteintrophy" St.Veit mountain race (team), at the Heutal mountain individual time trial , at the “Bike Festival Kaprun” and at the “Saalachtal Trophy”.

In ski mountaineering, she took part in the ISMC World Championships in addition to other international competitions . She has also been part of the international Dynafit team since 2005 .

She lives with her family in Weißbach near Lofer , Austria .
