Barbara Kirchner

Barbara Kirchner (* 1970 in Freiburg im Breisgau ) is a German chemist and writer .

Life

Kirchner graduated from 1990 to 1998 to study chemistry at the universities in Freiburg and Mainz , at the Chemnitz University of Technology and at the University of Basel , where in 1999 his doctorate . She then did research as a post-doctoral student in Brisbane ( Australia ), Stuttgart, Bochum, Zurich and Bonn. 2006 habilitation them at the University of Bonn . Since 2007 she has been professor of theoretical chemistry at the University of Leipzig , and since 2013 she has headed the working group for theoretical chemistry and liquid phases at the Institute for Physical and Theoretical Chemistry at the University of Bonn. In addition to her academic work, Kirchner publishes narrative prose and essays .
