Barbara Salesch
Barbara Ludovika Salesch (born May 5, 1950 in Karlsruhe ) is a German lawyer and former judge. She gained fame as an actress through her pseudo-documentary court show Judge Barbara Salesch on Sat.1 .
Life
Activity as a lawyer
After her legal science - and sports - study in Freiburg , Hamburg and Kiel Barbara Salesch worked since 1979 as a prosecutor in Hamburg . In 1982 she was seconded to the Hamburg judicial authority. Since 1985 Salesch has been a judge at the Hamburg Regional Court for drug crime, later also for large-scale proceedings; She also studied criminology .

Activity in television
Since 1999 Barbara Salesch has been on leave to work for television, where she initially adopted the format of the American model Judge Judy with real civil law disputes. From October 2000 to April 2012, Salesch played the judge in court hearings on the TV show Richter Barbara Salesch . Private
Salesch lives in the East Westphalian town of Petershagen , is single and has no children. Her great passion is art and she works as a painter and sculptor, which is why she also began studying art at the Bad Reichenhall Art Academy , as she would like to devote herself fully to her new profession after finishing her TV career.
